Company
QPC is a young and dynamic company at the cutting edge of the new optoelectronics technology. Our strength lies in the innovative designs and manufacturing processes we have developed for high performance, inexpensively manufactured semiconductor laser diodes and associated optical components.
We are creating a new generation of versatile components that will have revolutionary impact on multiple sectors of the communications, defense and manufacturing industries.
Our Company, which is based in Sylmar, California (a Los Angeles suburb) was founded by Dr. Jeffrey Ungar and George Lintz in November 2000 with backing from strategic and venture investors. Our technical staff was organized in late 2001, and includes world renowned experts in optoelectronic devices and semiconductor materials with experience at Lucent Technologies and Agere Systems. In March 2002, we commissioned a state-of-the-art high-technology facility that allows us to perform all critical fabrication processes in-house.
